My lavish embroidery artwork, with appliqued hand dyed cottons and silks, I have named 'Temple Gate'.
A gateway into a sacred place should always look rich and inviting, so I have embellished this handmade piece with star like beading and stitches.
The small hand-dyed patches of cloth suggest doors and passageways into a sacred interior.
I have used a mixture of new and upcycled cloth to make 'Temple Gate' and there are three silver tone metal buttons and three wooded carved buttons to add texture and interest.
